Chipping medium helps provide realistic aging and weathering effects on models. 

Apply chipping medium on the area to be aged. Paint normally overtop the medium. Then rub the area with a damp brush or sponge to lift the paint. Apply varnish once dry to protect the area. 

Effect of the chipping is directly related to the amount applied and how long paint is allowed to dry before rubbing. 

Do not dilute the chipping medium, as it will prevent its effect.
